What it is

What is Tyre Fitment & Replacement?

Tyre fitment covers selecting, supplying, and fitting new tyres matched to your vehicle's size, load rating, and speed rating — as well as your driving conditions, whether that's daily Bulawayo commuting or long-distance highway travel. Every new tyre is balanced as part of the fitment process.

We check tread depth, sidewall condition, and age — not just visible wear — across all four tyres to advise honestly on what genuinely needs replacing now versus what can wait.

Why it matters

Why this matters for your car

Tyres are the only part of your car actually touching the road — every braking, cornering, and acceleration force is transmitted through them. Worn, mismatched, or incorrect tyres compromise grip precisely when you need it most, in the wet or during an emergency stop.

Tyre age matters as much as tread depth: rubber compounds harden and crack over years even with plenty of tread left, so we check manufacture date, not just wear.

The real cost of waiting

What happens if you delay this?

This isn't scare-mongering — it's what we see time and again when this exact issue is left unaddressed.

Longer stopping distances

Worn tread significantly increases stopping distance, especially on wet roads.

Reduced wet-weather grip

Tread depth below the legal minimum dramatically increases the risk of aquaplaning.

Uneven handling

Mismatched tyre brands or tread patterns across an axle can make the car behave unpredictably during cornering.

Know the signs

Signs you need this now

If any of these sound familiar, it's worth booking an inspection before the issue progresses.

Tread depth approaching the 1.6mm legal minimum

Visible cracking on the tyre sidewall

Tyres are older than 5–6 years, regardless of tread depth

Persistent vibration or noise that balancing didn't resolve
