What it is

What is Oil & Filter Change?

An oil and filter change replaces your engine's lubricating oil and the filter that keeps it clean, using the viscosity and specification recommended for your engine. It's the most frequent maintenance item on any vehicle, and the foundation every other service builds on.

We check your handbook-specified interval and oil grade rather than applying a generic one-size-fits-all approach, since using the wrong viscosity can affect everything from cold-start protection to turbocharger longevity.

Why it matters

Why this matters for your car

Oil doesn't just lubricate — it also carries heat away from the engine's hottest components and suspends contaminants so they don't grind against metal surfaces. As oil ages, its additive package depletes and it can no longer do either job effectively, even before it looks visibly dirty.

Regular oil changes are consistently rated by manufacturers and independent mechanics alike as the single most cost-effective way to extend engine life.

The real cost of waiting

What happens if you delay this?

This isn't scare-mongering — it's what we see time and again when this exact issue is left unaddressed.

Increased internal friction

Aged oil loses viscosity control, letting metal-on-metal contact increase between bearings, camshafts, and pistons.

Turbocharger damage

On turbocharged engines, degraded oil struggles to cool the turbo bearing — a leading cause of premature turbo failure.

Sludge build-up

Old oil oxidises into sludge that can block oil passages and starve components of lubrication entirely.

Know the signs

Signs you need this now

If any of these sound familiar, it's worth booking an inspection before the issue progresses.

How we work

Our process

Every job follows the same disciplined sequence — diagnose first, explain clearly, then fix it right.

01

Correct-grade oil selection

We confirm the exact viscosity and specification your engine requires.

02

Drain & filter replacement

Old oil is fully drained and the filter is replaced, never just topped up.

03

Refill to correct level

Fresh oil is added to the manufacturer-specified level, not just 'full'.

04

Leak & level check

We check for leaks and confirm oil pressure before handing the car back.
